Successful days for Bosch at Achema

Five days, more than 1,000 square meters and roughly 2,000 visitors: these are the key figures from Bosch’s trade show appearance at Achema 2018 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. The event is the most important international trade show for pharmaceutical and process technology and is held every three years. “We concluded this year’s Achema very successfully with our entire team,” says Uwe Harbauer, member of the managing board of Bosch Packaging Technology and head of the business unit pharma. “Our booth was very well-frequented during the whole week, and we had many qualified contacts with trade visitors from all over the world.”

Highlights from all areas

One of the novelties in the Pharma Liquid World was the new processing system SVP with combined filling machine ALF and integrated Industry 4.0 application. Visitors were especially interested in the brand-new freeze dryer, which they could view exclusively in a separate room. Bosch’s Pharma Solid World attracted visitors’ attention with the Xelum R&D for continuous processing and the GKF 720 capsule filling machine for containment applications.

Another area of particular interest: the Industry 4.0 and service offers, which complement Bosch’s line competence. Thanks to the new Pharma i 4.0 Starter Edition, machine data was visualized live on screens. Visitors could also test the practical advantages of Virtual and Augmented Reality: equipped with glasses, they trained format part changeovers at the booth.

Positive outcome after five days

“We positioned Bosch Packaging Technology as complete solution provider – thanks to an ideal mix of individual machines, line configurations, services and Industry 4.0 applications,” says Harbauer. “We concluded Achema very successfully with first concrete negotiation results for future projects.”
