Helping maintenance staff to help themselves

The robot arm of the Sigpack TTM cartoner is in constant motion, and therefore exposed to high stress. To ensure permanent and smooth operations, a regular, preventive maintenance is highly recommended. Preventive Maintenance (PM) allows you to schedule maintenance downtime in advance and save time and money. Our experts will be there to assist you at any time. In addition to customer trainings, the Bosch Packaging Academy now offers e-learning modules for standard operation procedures (SOP) of the RX 163 series robot arm. “Our new blended e-learning concept combines the advantages of on-site trainings and computer-based learning,” says Roland Hasse, head of the Bosch Packaging Academy. “Hence, our customers are more independent in acquiring the expertise they need and can act more flexibly in upcoming maintenance activities.”

Choose your own learning path
Depending on your training needs, you can choose between three different levels. In the Introductory Stage, a training portal provides access to basic knowledge, such as safety instructions or a preventive maintenance plan. During Intervention Level 1, e-learning modules with step-by-step video tutorials guide you through maintenance measures, for instance an oil change. You can order the matching PM kit with recommended spare parts via our E-portal 24 hours a day. “Our e-learning modules make it possible to build up maintenance know-how at any time – always perfectly adapted to the individual employee‘s knowledge,” Roland Hasse says. “Even if an employee leaves the company, this knowledge remains accessible to the rest of the staff.” During Intervention Level 2, Bosch experts convey the knowledge for more complex maintenance measures. In an individual on-the-job training, maintenance staff learns to replace spare parts, such as belts or engines, and expands the existing knowledge. Thanks to the documents used during the training, the know-how can sustainably be saved.
