At interpack 2017 (hall 6, booth C58) Bosch will display its proven Woodman P3c bagger. Supported by 70 years of experience in packaging snack food, it is designed to package potato chips, tortilla chips, corn chips, extruded snacks, pretzels, and many other snack foods at high speeds of up to 120 bags per minute.
Woodman-exclusive features eliminate contaminated end seals and waste
The Woodman P3c features an integrated product clamp and settler. This device is controlled by a servo motor and is located above the end seal jaws. It stops each product load and gently shakes it. This condenses the product load into a tight cluster with no loose crumbs. The clamp then releases the product load into the bag.
After the load passes the end seal jaws, the jaws partially close and slide a preprogrammed distance down the bag. Stripper plates below the jaws sweep the end seal area to remove any loose product. The end seal jaws then completely close to seal the top of the filled bag and the bottom of a new bag. Another feature of the machine is the product poker. This device is located at the top of the bag forming tube, where the funnel ends. The poker head ensures that product loads do not clog the top of the forming tube. Accurate filling, clean end seals, and a system free from clogging ensures consistent, reliable production, and reduces packaging waste and downtime.
