On April 6, 2016, the official opening of the new office space of Bosch Packaging Technology in Cairo, Egypt, took place. In August 2015, the associates in Cairo moved to a larger office space in the neighborhood of the former office, located in the Sheraton area. Starting the Bosch facility in July 2012 with ten associates, the number has more than doubled to more than 25 associates by now. Too many for the previous office, which offered room for only 15 people.
President Friedbert Klefenz (second from left), board of management member Stefan Koenig (right) and pharma product division head Uwe Harbauer (left) travelled to Cairo for the official opening of the new office space. They cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony together with general manager Mazen Touban (second from right).
With a population of over 88 million and growing, Egypt is experiencing tremendous growth in the food, confectionery, and pharmaceutical industries. Bosch’s office provides local sales and service support to meet the increasing packaging demands of these markets in Egypt and beyond, including large parts of Africa and the Middle East.
