New Tablet Press from Product Brand Manesty launched at Interpack 2014

TPR 500

The new TPR 500 tablet press received a great deal of interest at the Interpack exhibition in Dusseldorf. During the official launch ceremony, Gary Hanson, General Manager of product brand Manesty and Christian Treitel, Director Business Development of Bosch Packaging Technology, introduced the TPR 500.

Following Bosch Quality Control methodologies ensured the development process was systematic. This helps to minimise risk and matches the design of the press to the market requirement specification (MRS). Utilising Manesty experts, Bosch industrial designers and input from other Bosch sites, ensured the TPR 500 and its control system were developed within a challenging time line.

A key benefit of the TPR 500 single sided press is a new 56-station die table which can produce more than 400,000 tablets per hour (tph) considerably reducing production time.

Manesty’s unique exchangeable die plate option enables you to produce up to 19mm tablets in comparison to 11mm (round) when using a BBS die. This means you can manufacture over 400,000 tph instead of 280,000 with a standard B die an increase of over 40 percent!

The modular powder feeding system allows for more flexibility with a two-paddle design, easily upgradable to individual drives or three paddles depending on powder characteristics. The new “True Flow” tablet discharge chute features an optimized take-off angle ensuring smooth delivery of tablets with a single station reject capability up to 25mm.

The unique two level production zone provides a hygienic design totally separating the production area from the mechanical area. Turret removal is possible in only ten minutes, while complete product changeover can be achieved in less than one hour.

State-of-the-art controls paired with an intuitive 21-inch HMI ensure easy machine set-up with reduced operator training time.
