With the patented energy recovery concept from Schoeller-Bleckmann Medizintechnik (SBM), a company of Bosch Packaging Technology, you can save up to 40 per cent of the energy used for heating and up to 50 percent of the energy used for cooling on your hot water spray sterilizers. Besides the cost savings, you will also be making a sustainable contribution to the environment.
The self-contained system for energy recovery consists of a storage tank that is hard piped to the sterilizer. An additional heat exchanger is used for the supply and recovery of energy or heat. A fully automatic control unit ensures smooth communication with the sterilizer. Via the ergonomic operator control device, designed by SBM, the system statuses are displayed – the energy recovery system can be activated or deactivated at any time.
The system can also be applied for several sterilizers at the same time – the use of several heat exchangers makes it possible. Connection to the stationary tank is via piping.
The concept, which is based on a high level of process know-how, is applicable to the hot water spray sterilizers supplied by all of the well-established manufacturers. In addition to the savings on heating and cooling, another benefit is the reduced utility volume resulting in smaller tanks for example for cooling water.
Existing equipment can also be provided with a retrofit at any time. We offer the complete package; this includes the engineering, supply of the components, installation, startup, documentation and qualification in accordance with pharmaceutical standards.
