At the end of September Bosch Packaging Technology in Crailsheim invited a team of experts for the production of parenterals of Bayer Healthcare to a symposium on recent trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
The focus was laid on filling systems, isolator and inspection technology. Bayer Healthcare with head offices in Leverkusen combines the global activities of the divisions Animal Health, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Care and Medical Care. Their aim is to discover and manufacture innovative products that will improve human and animal health worldwide. Bosch Packaging Technology as a leading supplier of process and packaging technology offers the ideal contribution to this goal.
In a course of lectures experts informed about the differences between RABS systems (Restricted Access Barrier Systems) and isolators, particle and cosmetic inspection or the new laboratory equipment series FHM. Following the lectures, head of sales Christian Lüth took the attendees on a factory tour giving them a deeper insight into the latest technologies and projects at Bosch Crailsheim.
Recent trends at Bosch Packaging Technology
Special emphasis was laid on the PreVAS filling system and the new laboratory equipment series FHM. With the new product line PreVAS (Pre-Validated, Pre-Assembled, Pre-Sterilized), Bosch supplies its customers with highly cost-effective plug and play tools which provide additional flexibility for aseptic filling operations backed by comprehensive validation packages.
With the new FHM 1000 series, Bosch Packaging Technology introduces semi-automated, modular laboratory devices for liquid pharmaceutical filling operations. The new development is particularly suited for pharmacists and for the application in laboratories and early clinical trials. Its filling parameters can be easily scaled-up to production systems: all relevant parameters are measured and specified in the laboratory, and can then be transferred to production machines without further settings.
