Manesty’s Service Migration goes live


Since being a part of Bosch Packaging Technology in August 2011, Manesty in Knowsley/Great Britain has continuously integrated its services in-line with the rest of Bosch Packaging Services.

The latest stage of this integration process is the Service Migration, which was launched on May 6, 2013. From this date, all Manesty customers will source their service and spare parts through the relevant service hubs worldwide. This development will create a local service contact for Manesty’s global customers and will allow more accurate performance evaluation in order to highlight specific focus areas for customer service improvement.


Preparation for the Service Migration commenced almost a year ago with an initial meeting in Waiblingen, Germany involving associates from Knowsley, UK, the Euro Hub, and Switzerland. Since this meeting, Knowsley has invested significant time and money in training its own associates and that of the different service hubs, holding two separate in-house training sessions in September and December 2012. These training sessions successfully established a solid internal communication and ensured that all associates involved in the Service Migration were fully prepared.


In order to ensure the seamless transition of this project, Manesty has assigned one of its own associates, Duncan Turner, to the role of Service Migration Manager. Following the launch date he will work directly with the Bosch Hubs to provide Technical sales support, especially for Modernisations. He will also accompany Hub Sales Managers on customer visits to support Manesty enquiries. One of their Spare Parts team members, Rory Stewart, will also be transferred to the Euro Hub in Waiblingen for six months to assist during this transition period.


Furthermore, associates from Knowsley and the Euro Hub have collaborated to produce communication that has already been distributed to Knowsley’s agents and customers worldwide, to inform them of the Service Migration and prepare them for the process to be followed post-launch date.
