Bosch grows globally with Ampack

Ampack

In 2012 Bosch Packaging Technology acquired Ampack GmbH, a German company specializing in the production of packaging machines for filling liquid and viscous dairy products, clinical nutrition and baby food as well as soups and juices into pre-made cups and bottles. Consistent with Bosch’s strategy of supporting customers for all of their filling and packaging technology needs, this acquisition widens Bosch’s offerings in ultra-clean and aseptic solutions. Ampack’s 40 years of liquid food experience as well as its installed base of more than 1500 machines strengthen Bosch’s competence in this sector. Concurrently, Bosch is an ideal partner to give Ampack’s equipment a global sales and service organization and a comprehensive research and development capabilities.

With Ampack’s portfolio, Bosch offers customers a choice of pack styles as well as different hygienic levels and shelf-life periods depending on the individual needs of liquid food producers. Being a Bosch key market segment, the company has a strong reputation for delivering world-class packaging technology for sensitive food products in and outside of the cooling chain.

This is a good basis, as global demand for dairy and baby food products with extended shelf-life is growing and the visual appeal and product differentiation on store shelves become a decisive buying factor for consumers. With its extended portfolio, Bosch is now well equipped to help customers capitalize on these opportunities.
