For over 60 years, DMK Deutsches Milchkontor has been developing and producing high-quality baby food. Today it is a leading company in the German dairy sector. The company processes a total of 6.9 billion kilograms of milk per year and is well known for its high-quality baby food products.
Focusing on output and product safety
To expand its baby food production, DMK incorporated Bosch’s TFA 8030 PS aseptic thermoforming line. This aseptic forming, filling and sealing machine fills baby food into thermoformed cups and enables product-friendly and energy-saving production within an automated process. Due to its high hygiene level and upstream process technology, the TFA 8030 PS can deliver product shelf lives of up to 12 months without refrigeration. With this machine, DMK achieves output levels of 57,000 cups per hour, which amounts to a maximum daily production volume of 100 tons. The system follows the principle of maintaining reliable and field tested features while improving details. For instance, the unit sterilizes the packaging material using the proven procedure with H2O2.
Maximum filling accuracy
The integrated piston filler ensures highly accurate filling, which translates into cost savings for DMK. With four supply tanks and a direct product feed into the filling nozzles, the piston filler also offers extended flexibility for filling many different products – viscous desserts, liquid baby food and dairy products.
An efficient solution
For DMK, high line efficiency is of paramount importance. To address this requirement, Bosch added a packer unit to its system. It incorporates direct interlocking to ensure a safe transfer of cups from the cutting station to the packer, and insertion in trays for optimum line efficiency.
A convincing result
The decision for Bosch’s aseptic line was in line with DMK’s demand for technology with low investment and maintenance costs, reliable and responsible service and high efficiency.
