Pack Expo

Come and visit us at FachPack in Nuremberg, Germany and PACK EXPO in Chicago, USA!

In September and October 2012, we present an insight into our portfolio for the pharmaceutical, food and confectionery industries as well as our comprehensive after-sales services.

FachPack, Nuremberg, Germany

At FachPack, mainly machinery for the food and confectionery industries will be on display. Besides the Pack 301 LD Long Dwell flow wrapper for products requiring more rigorous seal integrity, the vertical form, fill and seal machine SVE 1820 MR in line with a Paloma D2 3R Delta robot is on show as well as the case packer Elematic 3000 S. For our after-sales services portfolio, we present our Preventive Maintenance concept, the innovative Mavus mobile conference system as well as the portable CBT Mobile maintenance tool, which handles customized information to advise operators on packaging format changes, trouble-shooting and standard operating procedures.

Show Highlights

Bosch Packaging Technology exhibits the latest generation of its checkweighing technology, the KWE 6000. With the integrated KDS Web webserver, it enables managers to access production data remotely, using a computer or web-enabled mobile device. This provides users with enhanced control over production, even when they are not on site.

At FachPack, the flexible PME 4061 mandrel-wheel package maker will have its trade show debut. With an output of up to 100 packages per minute, the PME 4061 offers manufacturers a high format flexibility that enables point-of-sale differentiation through pack style versatility.

PACK EXPO Chicago, USA

At PACK EXPO Chicago, we showcase several new technologies for the pharmaceutical, food and confectionery industries on more than 12,000 square feet, highlighting flexibility, enhanced hygiene, security and innovation. In addition to our show highlights, a selection of our proven portfolio will be on display, for example vertical form, fill and seal machines, horizontal flow wrappers, band sealers as well as a vial filler.

Show Highlights

We will introduce the Pack 301 ID Inverted Long Dwell flow wrapper (ID), the newest addition to the company’s Pack series of horizontal flow wrappers. The Pack 301 ID gently transports products by carrying them on top of the film from the former through the cutting head, minimizing jams and protecting package appearance. We are also exhibiting the latest addition to the Pack Feeder 4 family – the Product Stacker Collator (PSC), which seamlessly integrates with Bosch’s Pack series of horizontal flow wrappers to enable multi-count packaging of either raw or wrapped products.

Furthermore, Bosch Packaging Technology introduces several new technologies to the American market: the bar packaging line, the SurePOUCH clean-fill machine (SPC), and the compact inspection unit KKX 3900 for capsules.

The bar packaging line consists of the distribution station Sigpack DCI, the horizontal flow wrapper Sigpack HRM with high performance splicer and the new toploader Sigpack TTM. Inspired by our customers, this is the first packaging system specifically developed for the packaging of bar products. For the first time in the United States, the new SurePOUCH roll-fed vertical form, fill and seal machine SPC is on display, producing flexible stand-up pack styles with spouts that give manufacturers multiple packaging options for liquid and viscous products. The SPC is capable of hygiene standards up to ultra clean-fill. The new inspection unit KKX 3900 for capsules is equipped with soft x-ray for comprehensive 100-percent weight and quality control. “For the first time, an inspection unit is capable of simultaneously checking all quality features like weight, foreign particles, deformation of capsule top and bottom, as well as length,” explains Product Manager Melanie Beck. Also from the field of inspection technology, experts from Eisai Machinery are on-site. With the acquisition of the machinery business companies in April 2012 of Eisai Co., Ltd., Bosch has substantially expanded its inspection technology portfolio for the pharmaceutical industry.

Additionally, we present new after-sales services and features. The Open Catalog Interface (OCI) and the Corporate Portal simplify spare parts logistics by synchronizing the E-Portal, Bosch’s online ordering platform, with the customer’s internal purchasing system. In addition, Bosch showcases its mobile measuring system that allows manufacturers to obtain a quick overview of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as a basis for line improvements.

We are looking forward to meeting you from October 28 to 31, 2012, at PACK EXPO in Chicago, Illinois, USA, McCormick Place, South Hall, S-2212. Eisai Machinery will be present on booth S-2739.
