At Achema 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany, Bosch Packaging Technology enthralled the international professional audience from June 18 to 22. At this most important show all about process technology, we presented our products and services on three booths with a total of almost 1,200 square meters.
Among the 27 exhibits out of our extensive portfolio of processing and packaging solutions for liquid and solid pharmaceuticals, numerous innovations could be found: the compact laboratory devices in modular design Solidlab 1 and 2 as well as the vertical stick pack machine Sigpack RA – to mention only two. Due to our strong emphasis on after-sales services, we showcased OEE Consulting (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and our Preventive Maintenance program as well as the interactive maintenance tool CBT Mobile and the remote service system Mavus.
Another highlight was the first mutual participation at Achema with the lately acquired companies: Together with the process specialists Hüttlin und Manesty, our Bosch location Waiblingen showcased a complete process chain for solid pharmaceuticals covering all the process steps from mixing and coating to tablet pressing and capsule filling.
With the manual, semi- and fully automated inspection machines for liquid pharmaceuticals from Eisai Machinery, part of our company since April 2012, and the new soft x-ray-based capsule control unit KKX 3900, we provided an overview on our enhanced inspection portfolio.
… and events
At this year’s Achema, events followed one after another. Being proud of more than 20 years of experience in isolator technology, we celebrated selling of the 100th isolator with our customer on Monday. The next day, we made use of the opportunity the show offered to hold a press conference on the current company development. We were glad to announce the global partnership with Sartorius Stedim Biotech on Wednesday. At Achema, the single-use system PreVAS developed in this cooperation was officially introduced.
Friedbert Klefenz, President of Bosch Packaging Technology, concludes, “It was a very successful show for us; considerably better than in 2009 […]. Our three booths attracted a high number of international and professional visitors, with an increasing number of customers from Asia.”
