After four exhilarating days, the Anuga FoodTec exhibition closed on March 30, ending a very special event for all. With clear focus on the international food industry and connecting to the main themes of food safety, sustainability and resource efficiency, the Anuga FoodTec was an ideal platform to launch two new clean-fill machines: the TFC 5516 thermoforming machine and the SPC 4020 that produces the SurePOUCH series of flexible pillow and stand-up pouches with fitment options.
The two new machines were in operation, generating great interest from the visitors. They also enjoyed the opportunity to handle the packages and various types of film samples as well as experience the opening and pouring features of the innovative spouts.
The TFC 5516 on display featured a new ergonomic design providing increased convenience for operators. The machine is suitable for the filling of fresh and ESL (extended shelf life) products such as yoghurts and desserts. The TFC 5516 also features a new in-mould labeling system.
The SPC 4020, the non-aseptic form, fill and seal machine for flexible packages was producing the EZGable format with the ultrasonically applied spout. One of the special highlights were the package graphics provided by Thomas Arndt, CEO of Y-Water. The brand will be launching a new product filled in EZPouch packages in the United States. Y-Water is an organic, low calorie and functional drink, with additional vitamins and minerals for children.
